Since 80% of the aqueous coating diluent is water, the content of non-methane hydrocarbons in the exhaust gas will be less than 20 mg/m, which is good. 95% of waterborne coatings are waterborne. 20% to 5% of the solvent is an alcohol, a small amount of ethers and very few additives. The role of the additive is to change the surface tension of the aqueous resin and improve the adhesion of the aqueous coating. Therefore, it is recommended that companies that are ready to use waterborne coatings later should establish a dry coating production line. Primers, intermediate paints, and colored paint lines should not use zeolite runners to reduce losses when replacing waterborne coatings. Since aqueous glazing cannot be achieved in a short time, it is conceivable to use a zeolite runner for surface glazing.

Chongqing water-based paint is a thinner in solvent-based paints, not water-based paints, and will not damage the ecological environment. As a diluent, it will completely evaporate during the curing of the film. This has no meaning for the film, it can be said to be a waste of resources. For the painting tools used, it is not necessary to use solvent cleaning, and it can be directly cleaned with water, and there is no solvent consumption during construction. Electrophoretic coating can be applied to complex components, other difficult to paint parts (cavities, corners, welds). The above points are important reasons for the development of environmentally friendly high pressure water-based coatings. However, actual waterborne coatings are not completely free of VOC emissions. In order to improve the physical and chemical properties of waterborne coatings and solventborne coatings, it is necessary to add some additives to make up for their shortcomings. Therefore, most of the additives are organic compounds and are volatile organic compounds. It inevitably releases VOCs. However, the proportion of organic volatiles in aqueous coatings is relatively small compared to solvent-based coatings. The content of organic volatiles in waterborne coatings is about 10-15%.
