Characteristics and main components of Chongqing waterborne coatings

With the improvement of people's environmental awareness and the improvement of environmental protection laws and regulations, all countries in the world encourage and promote the use of new environmentally friendly, energy-saving, material-saving coatings. Among them, Chongqing water-based coatings are beneficial to the rational use of resources, environmental pollution prevention and human health protection, contain no or contain less VOC (volatile organic compounds) and harmful air pollutants (HAP), have become water-based coatings. Research and development hot spots, highlights and growth points. Promote the application. Compared with other low-pollution coatings, water-based coatings have many advantages such as technical methods, wide application, good safety and relatively simple construction. They are good coatings. They are more concerned by paint scientists and users. In recent years, water-based paints have been developed in China and have received unprecedented attention. However, waterborne coatings still have a small share of the industrial coatings sector. Therefore, improving the moisture content of industrial coatings, reducing the pollution of coatings to the environment, and reducing the health hazards of construction workers has become a common problem faced by China's coatings industry.

In the past two years, under the requirements of environmental protection and emission reduction, Chongqing waterborne coatings have been used more and more in the surface coating and construction of China. Waterborne coatings, as the name suggests, are water soluble coatings. Oily coatings, ie solvent-based coatings, are insoluble in water, suspended or diffused in water through hydrocyclone venturis and water curtain cabinets, while aqueous coatings are soluble in water, producing waste water, also produced by suspension or diffusion of aqueous coatings. However, the two wastewater treatment processes and principles are different. The treatment of oily coating wastewater is filtration and pressure filtration, which is a mature physical process that is relatively easy to handle. Waterborne coating wastewater is soluble in water. At present, the physical process of treating the wastewater is a membrane reverse osmosis process, and the membrane reverse osmosis process is more complicated and complicated. This is very high, if the chemical method is more expensive and brings a lot of trouble. That is, the aqueous coating is used in the coating process, and the dry spraying technique is used in the coating chamber, which is a functional group for trapping solid substances such as pigments, titanium oxide, and liquid substances such as aqueous resins. Since 80% of the aqueous coating diluent is water, the content of non-methane hydrocarbons in the exhaust gas will be less than 20 mg/m, which is good. 95% of waterborne coatings are waterborne.

Chongqing waterborne coatings can be applied to wet substrates or wet environments. For the painting tools used, it is not necessary to use solvent cleaning, and it can be directly cleaned with water, and there is no solvent consumption during construction. Electrophoretic coating can be applied to complex components, other difficult to paint parts (cavities, corners, welds). The above points are important reasons for the development of environmentally friendly high pressure water-based coatings. However, actual waterborne coatings are not completely free of VOC emissions. In order to improve the physical and chemical properties of waterborne coatings and solventborne coatings, it is necessary to add some additives to make up for their shortcomings. Therefore, most of the additives are organic compounds and are volatile organic compounds. It inevitably releases VOCs. However, the proportion of organic volatiles in aqueous coatings is relatively small compared to solvent-based coatings. The content of organic volatiles in waterborne coatings is about 10-15%.
